About The Position

This role functions as the Nurse Manager of Skilled Nursing and serves as the acting Director of Nursing for the facility, supporting Title 22 requirements where applicable. As an acting Director of Nursing for our new Burnett Extended Care Center, you will guide the clinical direction, regulatory readiness and nursing leadership that support high-quality, patient-centered care. Working alongside a second acting Director of Nursing in a collaborative leadership model, you’ll oversee skilled-nursing operations, ensuring regulatory compliance while fostering a compassionate, team-driven culture. You will collaborate with physicians, interdisciplinary teams and operational leaders to maintain a safe environment, manage staffing and resources and uphold excellence in daily operations. When you step into this role, you’ll join a 154‑bed care environment that supports both long‑term and short‑term recovery for patients who are chronically ill or healing after illness, injury or surgery. As the only skilled-nursing facility in Fresno with both a dedicated physical therapy department and an on-site occupational therapy gym, the Burnett Extended Care Center offers integrated resources that allow you to collaborate closely with the therapy team to incorporate on-site therapy into individualized care plans. Together, these services create a collaborative setting where you can drive evidence-based practice, strengthen outcomes and shape a meaningful care experience for patients and families in the Central Valley.
