Requirements

Responsibilities

  • Develops, organizes, and maintains nursing practice standards compliant with regulatory agencies.
  • Promotes effective communication with all individuals.

  • Supervises nursing personnel functions, activities, and training.
  • Assures quality of care and adherence to best practices in infection prevention and control.
  • Develops and maintains nursing practice standards, policies, and procedures.
  • Ensures nursing services align with an interdisciplinary process.
  • Defines and assigns nursing personnel duties based on education, experience, and licensure.
  • Maintains adequate personnel and supplies in the nursing department.
  • Assesses resident care needs and assists in developing individual care plans.
  • Participates in pre-admission screening for new residents as needed.
  • Participates in committee and interdepartmental meetings aligned with Quality Assurance Process Improvement Standards.
  • Ensures compliance with federal, state, and local regulations for nursing services.
  • Participates in budget formation and operates within budgetary guidelines.
  • Follows all department safety rules and performs other assigned duties.
