About The Position
Director of Nursing Opportunity at The Commons on Meridian The Director of Nursing plays a key leadership role in the delivery of clinical services. The Director of Nursing oversees the nursing staff, ensures quality patient care, and manages administrative and regulatory responsibilities. Skills Needed: Supportive Presence: Creating a comforting and engaging atmosphere for our residents. Leadership : Guide, inspire, and support nursing teams to achieve high standards of patient care, drive innovation, and promote a positive and collaborative work environment. Collaboration: Works with and promotes collaboration among departments, professionals, consultants, and organizations including government regulatory agencies. Strong Clinical Skills: Ability to drive and deliver safe, effective, and high-quality care through a solid foundation of hands-on expertise, critical thinking, and clinical judgment. Teamwork: The ability to work towards a common goal of excellent care for our residents. Interpersonal Communication: Support a respectful and positive work environment by maintaining open, honest and effective communication with staff, residents, customers, and family.
Requirements
- Current and valid Registered Nurse license in the state of Indiana.
- Minimum of three years' clinical experience in geriatric care coupled with a minimum of one year experience as a departmental manager in the skilled nursing setting.
- Strong passion for geriatric nursing and commitment to senior care excellence.
- Must be able to work varying hours including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
