We have an immediate need for a Director of Non-Destructive Testing (NDT) located in Boston, MA Come join our team! (GISI), the parent company of The LiRo Group and Hill International, Inc. consolidated a portion of the highly experienced staff of both LiRo and Hill in the Northeast to create a larger, more efficient, and cost-effective team to serve clients. LiRo-Hill is a 1100-person firm with offices in NYC, Long Island, Buffalo, Rochester, Boston, Needham, MA and Metro Park, NJ. We are seeking an experienced and visionary Director of Non-Destructive Testing (NDT) to lead and oversee all aspects of our NDT operations. This role is critical to ensuring the integrity, safety of structural systems through inspection techniques. The ideal candidate will combine technical expertise with strong leadership skills to drive innovation and operational excellence.

Requirements

  • Minimum 10 years of experience in NDT, with at least 5 years in a leadership role.
  • Strong knowledge of industry codes and standards (ASME, API, ISO).
  • Proven ability to lead teams and manage complex projects.
  • Excellent communication, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.

Nice To Haves

  • Familiarity with automated inspection systems and data analytics.
  • Strong understanding of safety and quality management systems.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement strategic plans for NDT operations aligned with company objectives.
  • Oversee all NDT activities, including ultrasonic, radiographic, magnetic particle, liquid penetrant, and other advanced methods.
  • Ensure compliance with industry standards (ASNT, ISO, ASTM) and regulatory requirements.
  • Manage and mentor a team of NDT professionals, fostering a culture of safety, quality, and continuous improvement.
  • Collaborate with engineering, quality assurance, and production teams to resolve technical challenges.
