Arlo Hotels an independent lifestyle hotel is now actively seeking a dynamic Director of Nightlife and Programming. Here at Arlo we strive to create a sense of awe that leaves those we touch wanting more" The Director of Nightlife and Programming is responsible for creating a holistic entertainment environment within the Hotel. They should be constantly striving to activate the Hotel in new and engaging ways, taking advantage of all available venues and spaces within the Hotel as well as all mediums of art and entertainment. All activations and events should be planned and executed at the highest level to ensure that the reputation of the Hotel as an industry leader is maintained. Both culture and profit potential should be considered when finalizing all programming. "Programming" refers to all DJs, activations, events and performances arranged and booked by the Director of Nightlife. The Director of Nightlife should work alongside, consult, and communicate with all departments. They will work in tandem with the Director of F&B, Director of Events, Director of Security and Director of Housekeeping as well as all department heads.

Responsibilities

Displays honesty & integrity.
Conducts monthly, weekly and pre-shift meetings.
Communicates effectively to staff using tools such as development reviews, training, departmental orientation. and monthly departmental meetings.
Motivates and develops team members.
Create preventive maintenance programs for consistency of the product.
Ensures updated safe work environment.
Is an inspirational leader able to motivate team members to be consistently engaged in serving others, always looking for that opportunity and outcome.
You build strong partnerships with internal customers and outside vendors.
Establish, monitor, and manage budgeted revenue and net operating income for nightlife events, activations & spaces.
Develop and implement action plan and provide support and guidance to F&B management to achieve or exceed budgeted revenue and net operating income goal
Ensure that labor and expense guidelines are adhered to in order to maintain budgeted expenses.
Coordinate and monitor Security staffing - staff levels and individual performance
Monitor industry trends, take appropriate action to maintain competitive and profitable operations.
Maintain relationships with promoters and industry professionals to ensure that the hotel maintains a strong reputation.
Establish and enforce specific Standard Operating Procedures to improve the nightlife experience.
Establish strong lines of communication with all department heads.
Attending BEO and Management meetings.
Ensure F&B leadership is trained in SOP's & technical job tasks.
Promote guest satisfaction throughout the operation.
Monitor quality of service and product
Review and monitor music to be played in all spaces.
Ensure that the lenders are up to date and adhered to
Coordinate with Arlo Marketing team on production & planning
Identify key opportunities for the business to increase content impact.
Promote inter-company programming and share best practices.
Act as a liaison between the Food, Beverage, and Events team
Supervise and provide leadership as needed.
Respond to guest complaints in a timely manner.
Guidance and assistance across the Arlo Hotels portfolio in the Nightlife and Programming capacity where it suits fit based on the venue offerings.
Prepare and submit required reports in a timely manner.
Keep immediate supervisor fully informed of all problems or matters requiring his/her attention.
Ensure compliance with all local liquor laws, and health and sanitation regulations, and all Beverage related life/safety and other legal compliance in accordance with federal and local laws.
