About The Position

This role is a key position of the Information Technology (IT) Leadership Team. Responsible for the planning, design, management, administration, and maintenance of the credit union’s IT infrastructure, including servers, network, service desk, cloud/virtual environment, and phone systems. Analyzes IT infrastructure and systems performance to assess operating costs, productivity levels, upgrade requirements, and other metrics and needs. Responsible for oversight of IT operations, strategy as it relates to IT infrastructure, processes, standards, and providing direction, guidance, and training to IT staff. Directs staff on system upgrades, patches, and nightly backups. Oversee the monitoring of system utilization and the security systems and posture of the credit union. Coordinates multi-site IT systems via enterprise resource planning (ERP). Manages the Service Desk workflow including overseeing and providing technical support to end users, answers questions, and prepares network training sessions as needed. Maintains activity logs and makes recommendations for new systems and products. Develops and maintains relationships with external IT vendors and service providers. Negotiates competitive and complex contractual relationships with 3rd party vendors. Is key in the Credit Union’s Disaster Recovery and Continuity of Operations Plan (DR/COOP) design, test, and implementation. Develops and implements business continuity protocols to minimize disruption to business operations in the event of emergency situations or data loss. Identifies and eliminates security risks. Works to increase user satisfaction. Evaluates and establishes goals for IT operations. Communicates within IT team and across departments as needed.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Eight (8) years of IT experience including two (2) years of systems architecture and design.
  • Three (3) years of management experience.
