About The Position

Coborn’s, Inc., based in St. Cloud, Minnesota is hiring for a Director of Meat & Seafood Merchandising to join our team. This role is responsible for developing and leading sales driving initiatives, influencing, developing and empowering others, while providing strategic and operational direction through ongoing category analysis, procurement, visual merchandising, and supplier relationships. This position will work from the Coborn’s Support Center in St. Cloud, Minnesota. As the Director of Meat & Seafood Merchandising, you can expect to: Develop and lead merchandising standards, category objectives, business plans and budgets for the Meat & Seafood Department that are properly measured and aligned with (and in support of) the company’s overall sales and merchandising strategy. Create and ensure execution of the promotional calendar ensuring merchandising plans help us Win the Season! Ensure execution of merchandising and marketing plans, programs, and campaigns necessary to merchandise products and drive sales to achieve desired financial results and goals. Collaborate with the merchandising leadership team, eCommerce operations, marketing & pricing, retail store team members, District Managers, and others within the organization to ensure we Delight our Guests and are able to Bring It Every Day! Build, enhance, and nurture on-going relationships with third party vendors and suppliers to support innovation, ensure guest satisfaction, and increase margin/profit opportunities. Lead, coach, develop, and grow fresh area merchandising team members and influence team members throughout the organization.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree (B.A.) from a four-year college or university; or five to seven years related experience and/or training;
  • Current or previous director-level experience and responsibilities
  • Demonstrated ability to interpret and influence P&L
  • Ability to effectively and efficiently communicate with all types of people and personalities.
  • Ability to express thoughts, concerns and opinions in a way that is respectful, clear and organized both written and verbally. Will avoid and discourage others from gossiping and drama behaviors.
  • Ability to approach guests comfortably and makes themselves approachable for guests and employees by engaging in respectful & helpful conversations.
  • Working knowledge of the Microsoft Office Suite and email systems.
  • Possess a current state driver’s license and valid insurance with the ability to travel to business locations as needed.
