Black Family Hospitality (BFH) is a growing boutique hospitality company rooted in creativity, community, and operational excellence. The Director of Marketing is responsible for developing and executing strategic marketing initiatives that drive brand awareness, guest engagement, and revenue growth across all hospitality services. This role oversees digital, traditional, and experiential marketing efforts to position our portfolio as a top destination in a competitive market. Our Director of Marketing takes a hands-on approach to marketing execution and is both a strategist and a doer—someone who can lead the vision while also delving into the details to ensure campaigns connect with guests and produce measurable results.

  • Lead online marketing initiatives including SEO, SEM, email, and social media.
  • Optimize website and booking platforms for user experience and conversion.
  • Monitor analytics to measure ROI and adjust strategies accordingly.
  • Drive F&B sales and event bookings through targeted campaigns.
  • Develop loyalty programs and guest retention strategies.
  • Collaborate with the Operations department to maximize profitability.
  • Oversee the growth and optimization of BFH’s e-commerce platforms, ensuring strong product presentation, site experience, and conversion performance.
  • Partner with Operations to ensure in-store retail programs are executed consistently and effectively.
  • Lead design direction for new merchandise across all BFH brands, including apparel, accessories, retail packaging, and in-restaurant retail displays.
  • Work with internal creative team and external vendors to develop innovative, high-quality merchandise that reflects BFH’s brand identity.
  • Track campaign metrics daily/weekly, adjusting tactics in real time to maximize ROI.
  • Use analytics dashboards to identify trends and opportunities for immediate improvement.
  • Adjust strategies quickly based on results, guest trends, and operational feedback.
  • Forecast needs and allocate budget and resources for maximum return.
  • Actively manage social media accounts, ensuring timely posts, guest engagement, and community building.
  • Write or edit copy for newsletters, blogs, and guest communications to maintain brand voice.
  • Personally oversee the creation of seasonal promotions, special packages, and event marketing.
  • Coordinate photo shoots, video content, and storytelling assets to showcase guest experiences.
  • Collaborate with operations teams to execute marketing activations (e.g., themed dinners, holiday events).
  • Ensure signage, collateral, and guest touchpoints are consistent and visually appealing.
  • Work closely with the Board of Directors, the SVP of F&B, Catering Sales Managers, and operations teams to ensure marketing initiatives translate into bookings and revenue.
  • Provide hands-on support for VIP events, trade shows, and hospitality expos.
  • Develop and implement comprehensive marketing strategies aligned with business goals.
  • Conduct market research and competitive analysis to identify opportunities and trends.
  • Collaborate with executive leadership to define brand positioning and long-term vision.
