About The Position

As the Director of Marketing for Remington Ammunition, you will play a pivotal role in translating market data and product innovation plans into a comprehensive brand strategy that drives affinity and demand for Remington's ammunition, accessories, and licensed goods. This position requires a strong leader who can manage both internal and external creative teams, oversee marketing management, and execute campaigns across all marketing channels. You will be responsible for measuring the return on investment of these campaigns and building the Remington brand in a competitive marketplace. In this role, you will define and achieve goals and metrics through robust plan development that aligns with strategic and category plans. You will manage the internal creative team, ensuring their success through continuous improvement and professional development. Your responsibilities will include writing copy for promotional materials as needed and leveraging your strong project management skills to ensure that the team meets tight timelines while supporting sales initiatives. You will be the owner and champion of brand positioning, developing messaging, a written style guide, and guardrails for advertising, packaging, in-store, and event signage. Additionally, you will develop brand and product launch plans that set the strategy for promoting priority products, building consumer awareness, penetrating markets, and driving demand. Collaboration with internal and external teams will be essential to execute these strategies effectively. Your role will also involve working closely with the Media Director and external agencies on media, advertising, and public relations plan execution. You will align with the Director of Web/eCommerce on graphic needs for the website and work to grow the existing social media audience through strategy development, ambassador/influencer relations, and robust analytics and reporting. You will provide creative direction for Remington's live events presence and collaborate with the internal events team and external contractors to showcase Remington Ammunition at various customer and consumer events. Building rapport with the product management team will be crucial to ensure that the voice of the consumer and brand is paramount in new product launch materials. You will engage with endemic media partners on product and brand initiatives to secure positive press and represent the Remington brand effectively. Coordination with the Trade Marketing team will be necessary to align brand plans with strategic account activity and timing, and you will partner with firearms and other industry companies on new products and projects to expand the brand's reach. When required, you will work with the VP to engage external design agencies and talent for new campaigns. Your creative development responsibilities will include marketing materials such as advertising, brochures, websites, social media strategies, promotions, packaging, and in-store signage. You will also capture competitive brand and product promotion activity to inform marketing strategies and maintain the Remington trademarks list in collaboration with the legal team. Monthly forecasts will be provided to the VP and finance team to ensure budget adherence and keep the team informed of spending and timing.
