About The Position

The Director of Marketing & Tourism is responsible for developing and implementing marketing strategies and events to promote the city of Madisonville. This role involves building relationships with the local business community, hotels, and organizations to attract visitors and manage city rental facilities effectively. The director will also oversee the administrative aspects of the Hotel Occupancy Tax and may present reports at City Council meetings.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in marketing or tourism management.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Proficient in marketing software and tools.
