About The Position

The Director of Marketing & Communications directs all strategic marketing and communications initiatives tied to the Shriners Children's strategic plan. Primary responsibilities include budgeting, earned media relations, writing, editing and posting digital (website and social media) and print content, internal and external communications, and coordinating omni-channel patient acquisition marketing campaign with the external agency. Communicates regularly with the Senior Regional Director of Marketing & Communications, West region MarCom team, hospital administrator, facility leadership and Board of Governors. Actively builds and maintains relationships with media outlets, community partners, non-profits, medical and business groups, and other stakeholders. Serves as facility spokesperson/PIO. Provides marketing and communications support to the Office of Philanthropy and Business Development. Maintains positive relations and open communication with members of the Shriners International fraternity in primary and secondary markets (Northern California, Southern Oregon, Western Nevada). This position is full time, exempt and benefits eligible. The pay range for this position is $96,760/year - $145,140/year. Compensation is determined based on years of experience and departmental equity.
