About The Position

The Maintenance Director is responsible for overseeing and coordinating the maintenance department's activities to ensure compliance with environmental standards and regulations. This role involves maintaining the facility in a sanitary and orderly condition, ensuring all systems are in good repair and free from hazards.

Requirements

  • High School diploma.
  • One to two years of supervisory experience in a commercial establishment.
  • Knowledge of laundry, housekeeping, and maintenance procedures.
  • Minimum of 2 years work experience in long-term care preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Supervises all Environmental Services personnel and daily work throughout the center.
  • Processes and maintains records of accounts payable, supplies received, and equipment maintenance.
  • Executes the Company's preventive maintenance program and maintains record-keeping systems.
  • Develops center profile and physical plant history by documenting all maintenance activities.
  • Performs routine maintenance and repair work in accordance with regulations and building codes.
  • Collaborates with residents, nurses, physicians, and department leaders regarding maintenance requests and service resolutions.
  • Maintains electrical and mechanical equipment in good working order.
