About The Position

The Director of Maintenance at Arabella Health & Wellness of Mobile is responsible for overseeing the Maintenance Department, ensuring compliance with federal, state, and local regulations. This role involves planning, organizing, and directing maintenance operations to maintain a safe and comfortable environment for residents and staff.

Requirements

  • Prior experience in Long Term Care or Healthcare setting.
  • Strong knowledge of maintenance operations and compliance with regulations.

  • Experience in carpentry, electrical, plumbing, and mechanics.

Responsibilities

  • Be responsible for the overall maintenance operations of the facility while complying with Federal, State, and Local laws and regulations.
  • Conduct Daily, Weekly, and Monthly Preventative Plant Operations audits to ensure the working order of facility equipment.
  • Maintain documentation of routine and preventative maintenance measures as it pertains to facility generator, fire alarm, and sprinkler systems.
  • Order and requisition supplies and equipment as needed.
  • Coordinate services from outside vendors.
  • Have working knowledge of and aptly perform carpentry, electrical, plumbing, mechanics, painting, and other various tasks.
  • Participate in compliance or other required training programs.
  • Attend Department Head meetings.
  • Supervise the Plant Operations Assistant.
  • Display positivity and tact when interacting with customers, visitors, personnel, government entities, and the public.
