About The Position

The Director of Logistics and Trade Compliance at RAVN Aerospace is responsible for leading logistics operations and ensuring compliance with trade regulations. This role involves managing logistics strategies for both domestic and international operations, overseeing procurement and distribution, and ensuring adherence to U.S. and international trade laws. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in risk mitigation and regulatory compliance while fostering relationships with suppliers and logistics partners.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Business, International Trade, Logistics, Supply Chain Management, or related field.
• Minimum of 10 years of experience in logistics and trade compliance, preferably in a regulated industry.
• Strong knowledge of U.S. and international trade regulations, including EAR, ITAR, OFAC, and customs requirements.
• Familiarity with Technical Assistance Agreements (TAA), DSP-5, DSP-61, and related applications.
• Exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Strong communication, interpersonal, and negotiation skills.
• Ability to work independently and lead cross-functional teams.

Responsibilities

• Develop, manage, and optimize logistics and supply chain strategies for domestic and international operations.
• Oversee procurement, transportation, and distribution of parts and supplies for RAVN's programs.
• Build and maintain relationships with freight forwarders, suppliers, and logistics partners.
• Ensure compliance with U.S. export and import laws, including EAR, ITAR, and OFAC sanctions.
• Conduct regular risk assessments to evaluate compliance risks and implement mitigation measures.
• Prepare and maintain import/export documentation and ensure timely submission of regulatory reports.
• Develop and implement trade compliance policies and conduct training sessions for employees.
• Conduct internal audits to assess and improve trade compliance and logistics practices.
• Collaborate with suppliers to ensure their compliance with trade regulations.
• Act as the primary point of contact for trade compliance inquiries from internal teams and external partners.
