About The Position
Bald Birds Brewing Company is seeking a Director of Logistics & Fulfillment Operations to lead warehouse, inventory, shipping/receiving, and order fulfillment operations at our Jersey Shore, Pennsylvania beverage manufacturing facility. This senior leadership role is responsible for ensuring accurate inventory control, efficient order processing, and cost-effective staffing while maintaining high service levels and operational excellence.
Requirements
- 5+ years of warehouse or logistics leadership experience, preferably in beverage, food manufacturing, or CPG environments.
- Strong knowledge of inventory management systems and warehouse best practices.
- Comfortability working with ERP/WMS systems and other relevant technology platforms.
- Experience managing KPIs, labor planning, and cost control.
- Working knowledge of GMP, OSHA, and food safety requirements.
- Demonstrated leadership and team development experience.
- Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
- Proficiency with Microsoft applications.
Responsibilities
- Logistics & Fulfillment Operations Lead all order fulfillment operations, ensuring timely, accurate picking, packing, and shipment of finished goods.
- Develop and monitor KPIs including order accuracy, inventory accuracy, labor efficiency, and freight performance.
- Optimize warehouse workflows and fulfillment processes to improve productivity and reduce costs.
- Oversee client and internal communication related to shipment status, delays, discrepancies, or service issues.
- Warehouse & Inventory Management Maintain accurate real-time inventory of raw materials, packaging materials, and finished goods.
- Lead and oversee cycle count programs, physical inventories, and reconciliation processes.
- Investigate inventory variances, conduct root cause analysis, and implement corrective/preventive actions.
- Ensure warehouse layout supports efficiency, FIFO/FEFO practices, traceability, and GMP compliance.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and audit-ready warehouse environment.
- Shipping & Receiving Operations Oversee the receipt, verification, documentation, and storage of inbound materials and outbound shipments.
- Ensure accurate documentation, bill of lading management, and shipment tracking.
- Coordinate with carriers, vendors, and internal teams to ensure timely deliveries and pickups.
- Develop, implement, and maintain SOPs for shipping, receiving, and material handling processes.
- Employee Leadership & Workforce Planning Recruit, train, schedule, and supervise warehouse and fulfillment staff.
- Align staffing levels with production schedules, seasonality, and business demands.
- Conduct performance evaluations and provide coaching and development.
- Enforce company policies, safety standards, and performance expectations.
- Promote a culture of accountability, safety, teamwork, and continuous improvement.
- Cross-Functional & Compliance Leadership Partner with Production and Quality to ensure material availability and inventory accuracy.
- Communicate quality concerns or material discrepancies with urgency and documentation.
- Ensure compliance with OSHA, GMP, food safety, and company standards.
- Prepare for and support audits, inspections, and inventory reviews.
- Develop and maintain all logistics and warehouse SOPs.
