The Director of Legal Operations (DOLO) at Viles & Beckman is a vital leadership role crucial to streamlining our operations and enhancing our client services. Requirements

  • Legal Experience: JD preferred, or significant legal operations experience in a personal injury context.
  • Operational Excellence: Proven experience in process improvement, KPI design, and data-driven decision-making.
  • Leadership Skills: Ability to lead with transparency, foster a positive culture, and manage teams effectively.
  • Client Service Focus: Strong commitment to exceptional service standards and client care.
  • Communication: Excellent interpersonal, coaching, and change-management skills.

Responsibilities

  • Operational Leadership: Oversee the Intake, Pre-Suit, Case Management, and Litigation departments, ensuring seamless coordination and efficiency.
  • Data Management: Review production data daily, ensuring integrity, identifying bottlenecks, and making proactive, metrics-based decisions.
  • KPI Development: Audit existing KPIs, recommend improvements, and drive accountability through consistent communication and follow-up.
  • Process Optimization: Implement and optimize operational processes to streamline production and standardize best practices across teams.
  • Leadership: Develop and coach Team Captains, providing guidance on performance and handling disciplinary discussions where necessary.
  • Client Experience: Drive high-quality service standards, ensuring follow-ups and audits are conducted diligently to provide consistent client experiences.
  • Strategic Contribution: Contribute to firm growth, including managing new office locations and scaling operational systems as needed.
