We are seeking a dynamic Director of Learning and Development at our Fairfield, CA location to lead the strategy, implementation, and measurement of instructor training and professional development initiatives.
Design, implement, and oversee a comprehensive instructor development program for allied healthcare educators
Train-the-trainer: Lead structured onboarding and ongoing training for new and existing instructors across all programs (CMA, Phlebotomy, EMT, Pharmacy Tech, Billing & Coding, etc.)
Develop KPIs and metrics to measure training effectiveness, instructional quality, and student outcomes
Continuously assess instructional performance and identify opportunities for professional growth and quality improvement
Collaborate with VP of Academics to align training initiatives with company goals and compliance standards
Build scalable processes for instructor training across a large, geographically dispersed instructional team
Report regularly to VP of Academics on training program performance, instructor engagement, and measurable outcomes
Identify and implement process improvements to optimize teaching practices and student experience
Stay current on industry trends, best practices in adult learning, and healthcare education standards
Other duties as assigned
Bachelor’s degree in organizational development or related field required
At least 3 years of learning and development management experience or related management experience
Proven experience leading learning and development programs within a large workforce (200+ employees) preferred
Experience designing and delivering “train-the-trainer” programs, ideally within allied healthcare education or vocational instruction
Strong understanding of adult learning principles and instructional design
Demonstrated success implementing and scaling training initiatives with measurable results
Ability to collect, interpret, and present data to guide strategic decisions and improve outcomes
Experience with LMS platforms and technology-enabled learning preferred
Excellent communication, leadership, and organizational skills
Master’s degree in education, organizational development, or related field preferred
