LARE Institute is a Private Occupational School branch of American Training with state, global, and industry-recognized certifications in Allied Health Care, Business, Trade and Education Programs. This award-winning center has been operating for more than 35 years and is licensed by the MA Division of Professional Licensure, Office of Private Occupational School Education. It is a school with a fun and “family-oriented” approach to learning. Our programs are taught by extraordinary instructors in state-of-the-art facilities, and we need you to join our team! We have two main locations, Andover and Chelsea. We are looking for an innovative and collaborative professional to lead the vocational, educational, career, and employment programs at LARE Institute for youth and adults. You will oversee a professional staff of approximately 10 instructors and counselors to deliver high-impact, effective educational programs, and job placement services. This role oversees the implementation and continuous improvement of program functions, including student recruitment, education and training services, job placement, employer relations, grants management, and contract requirements. We are looking for a leader who is highly motivated, and an exceptional results-oriented professional who is committed to the achievement of high standards and performance in our educational programs and services.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree or degree may be waived with experience. A minimum of 5 years’ experience in a vocational setting or a related field.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office products, Excel, and Word. Ability to create reports.
  • Experience in system implementation
  • Excellent written, oral and presentation skills
  • Able to successfully write proposals for funding.

Responsibilities

  • Leads the vocational, education, career, and employment programs to deliver high-impact, effective educational programs and job placement services.

  • Collaborates with the President and CEO in the establishment of program goals and objectives, program budgeting, staff utilization, space allocation, and program development.
  • Interviews, hires, and manages team performance. Provides coaching, establishes and motivates team members through recognition and career development
  • Engages team to participate in WOW! Magic activities and philosophy.
  • Writes monthly narrative and performance outcome reports for monthly Executive meetings.
  • This position will be fully accountable for financial performance, daily operation, Student and Colleague satisfaction, and enrollment numbers. Maintains and improving student attendance and retention.
  • Reviews weekly recruitment report, working with Counselors to create strategy and advertise to maximize applicant volume and achieve performance measures
  • Collaborates with partners to develop and maintain key referral partnerships.
  • Achieves school goals and establishes specific targets for budgeted student starts and placements
  • Creates new strategies with team for outreach and recruitment
  • Monitors and screens enrollment of applicants from appropriate agencies.
  • Develops new educational and training programs to be implemented.
  • Research and coordinates all grant writing and responds to requests for proposals and funding.
  • Partners with Teachers and Counselors in appropriate curriculum development.
  • Assists Counselors to monitor individual training progress and/or new developments or changes in program focus.
  • Monitors the operations of programs, policies and procedures, and ensures that student files and other program materials are up to date.
  • Maintains contract compliance per written agency agreements and appropriate Student enrollments.
  • Assists with job development strategies.
  • Establishes and maintains appropriate relations with various agencies that refer applicants and fund the program.
