The individual will collaborate with Clinic Administration, Pathology, and Clinical Laboratory Medical Directors to develop and maintain appropriate controls, policies, procedures, and outcome monitoring mechanisms. The position also involves developing the annual budget and overseeing profit and loss for laboratory divisions, assisting business leaders with sales efforts, and promoting new opportunities to improve financial outcomes through lab services. Additionally, the role includes hiring qualified personnel, ensuring appropriate training for laboratory staff, and developing customer service improvement efforts for both internal and external customers. The individual will ensure that laboratory divisions meet or exceed established operating goals, including quality testing and turnaround times, while supervising the daily activities of laboratory scientists, technicians, and clerical personnel.
