About The Position

The Director of Youth Services is responsible for the overall design, management, supervision, and evaluation of all K–8 youth services/sites programming—currently including after-school, Summer Day Camp, and Hartley House. The Director also conducts ongoing assessments of community needs within the service area and develops responsive programming. This role involves creating administrative systems and quality controls for day-to-day operations supporting approximately 300 school-age youth across multiple sites with an annual budget of over $1 million. The Director collaborates closely with staff, parents, local schools, and community partners. This position offers a flexible hybrid work model with the ability to work remotely as responsibilities allow, along with flexible scheduling.

Requirements

  • Valid School-age Child Care (SACC) License Required.
  • Significant experience in program planning, administration, monitoring, and evaluation.
  • Strong organizational, communication, and supervisory skills.
  • Demonstrated experience in managing city, state, and federal contracts.

Responsibilities

  • Plan, implement, and assess services and programs while ensuring contractual compliance.
  • Collaborate with the Deputy Executive Director to develop and oversee departmental programming across all sites.
  • Develop budgets and work plans, and assist in the development of annual budgets.
  • Ensure proper fiscal oversight and timely submission of program data and reporting.
  • Supervise and support staff including hiring, development, evaluation, and coordination of professional growth opportunities.
  • Oversee participant recruitment and enrollment processes.
  • Engage with youth to maintain strong participation and foster connections.
  • Establish new partnerships and initiatives aligned with evolving program needs.
  • Provide leadership in achieving programmatic goals as outlined by agency policy and funding partners such as DOH and DYCD.
  • Represent Hudson Guild at community events and advocate on relevant public policy issues.
  • Ensure effective data collection and reporting processes to meet funder and internal performance goals.
  • Uphold accountability in implementing evidence-based programming with consistency and quality.
  • Lead continuous improvement efforts, using program data to evaluate and enhance services.
  • Collaborate across departments and conduct outreach to ensure full enrollment and community engagement.
  • Maintain proactive communication with community partners.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
