As we continue to grow and expand, we are seeking a dynamic and experienced Director of Juvenile Justice Mental Health Program to join our team in Butler, NC. Requirements

  • Master's degree in related field; licensure preferred
  • Minimum of 3-5 years of professional experience in Juvenile Justice, behavioral health, or a related human services field, with at least 2 years in a supervisory or program management role.

Responsibilities

  • Provide overall leadership for program operations, ensuring alignment with both DJJ and New Hope priorities.
  • Facilitate joint leadership meetings, cross-agency committees, and case conferences.
  • Collaboratively work with DJJ to resolve interagency conflicts regarding policy, clinical authority, placement decisions, etc.
  • Monitor fidelity to evidence-based models, including Collaborative Problem Solving (CPS) and trauma informed care approaches.
  • Provide guidance on high-acuity youth, crisis interventions, and behavioral management strategies.
  • Manage staff recruitment, supervision, and performance evaluations across the program.
  • Develop and enforce operational policies, procedures, and protocols.
  • Monitor staffing ratios, workload distribution, and coverage for program.
  • Develop and monitor risk management protocols, including critical incident reporting and safety oversight.
  • Lead development of manuals, SOPs, and toolkits to ensure standardized, high-quality service delivery.
