About The Position

The Director of Janitorial Services is responsible for supporting business development initiatives aimed at growing the janitorial services portfolio. This role involves engaging in sales activities outside of the office, including creating relationships with non-Unifi customers and understanding their business needs. The position requires participation in developing proposals and pricing in response to customer RFPs, as well as presenting sales and operational performance to clients. The Director will identify key targets and develop selling plans using a consultative approach to offer Facilities/Cleaning and Breakroom solutions to Airport and Terminal customers. Additionally, the role includes supporting the company with bidding and benchmarking to increase department growth, working closely with operational leadership on continuous improvement, and administering quality and performance systems throughout the organization. Training and development of cleaning teams, representing the Unifi brand, and maintaining professional relationships with customers are also key responsibilities.

Requirements

  • 8-10 years of relevant experience in a similar function relating to sales and/or facilities management
  • Experience within the aviation industry or in a facilities management role is required
  • Strong knowledge of Janitorial services and a keen eye for improvement
  • Experience with project or program management
  • Ability to work with internal pricing team and build competitive proposals for customer RFPs
  • Leadership skills to inspire a decentralized team toward common goals
  • Ability to travel frequently

Nice To Haves

  • MBA Degree is a plus
  • Proven track record of growing Facility/Janitorial/Custodial services across multiple markets

Responsibilities

  • Support business development initiatives with the goal of growing the janitorial services portfolio

  • Identify key targets from region listing & develop selling & penetration plans using a consultative selling approach
  • Support the company with bidding, re-bids, and benchmarking to increase department growth
  • Work closely with operational leadership on continuous improvement and business excellence
  • Administer and/or implement quality and performance systems throughout the organization
  • Innovate and improve processes and services for cleaning teams
  • Training and development of cleaning teams
  • Represent the Unifi brand and values when building relationships with customers
  • Develop and maintain a good, professional working relationship with all customers
