We are seeking a Director of IT to lead technology operations for our newly combined organization. This is a hands-on leadership role with two complementary mandates: Complete a time-bound integration effort over the next 8–12 months, and Build and run the IT function that will support the business long-term. You will lead a globally distributed team of ~14 IT professionals across the U.S., India, China, and Mexico, and serve as the primary point of accountability for how effectively technology supports the organization day to day. This role requires someone who can operate at both a technical and leadership level—capable of configuring systems, troubleshooting issues, and making architectural decisions, while also building a scalable, high-performing IT organization.

Requirements

  • CrowdStrike Falcon (EDR, prevention policies, workflows, telemetry)
  • Next-generation SIEM platforms (Splunk, Chronicle, LogScale, Elastic, or similar)
  • Microsoft Entra ID / Azure AD (SSO, MFA, federation, SCIM)
  • Microsoft Intune (macOS, iOS, Windows device management)
  • Microsoft 365 (Exchange, SharePoint, OneDrive)
  • Slack Enterprise Grid administration
  • Strong understanding of DNS (MX, SPF, DKIM, DMARC) and SaaS environments
  • 10+ years in IT operations, infrastructure, or systems engineering
  • 5+ years leading IT teams
  • Experience supporting 200+ users across multiple locations
  • Proven experience with M&A, integration, or environment consolidation
  • Track record of balancing hands-on work with leadership responsibilities
  • Service-first mindset with a focus on enabling business productivity
  • Hands-on approach to both technical and operational challenges
  • Ability to navigate ambiguity and drive progress
  • Strong communication skills with technical and non-technical stakeholders
  • Willingness to engage in both strategic and day-to-day work
  • Must be a U.S. Citizen or U.S. Permanent Resident (Green Card holder)

Responsibilities

  • Own day-to-day technology operations, ensuring business-critical systems are available, performant, and well-supported
  • Establish and maintain service-level expectations and support workflows
  • Build a unified IT support model across both legacy organizations
  • Proactively monitor system health and resolve issues before they impact users
  • Define and manage incident response processes, including severity levels, escalation paths, and communication protocols
  • You will take ownership of the remaining integration work, including: Identity consolidation into Microsoft Entra ID Migration from Google Workspace to Microsoft 365 Okta decommissioning and application refederation CrowdStrike Falcon deployment across all endpoints Implementation of a next-generation SIEM platform Domain consolidation and rebranding support
  • You will be accountable for timeline, execution quality, and business continuity throughout this process.
  • Own and operate the Entra ID environment, including conditional access, MFA, administrative units, and dynamic groups
  • Maintain SSO and SCIM provisioning across SaaS platforms
  • Lead migration of applications from Okta to Entra ID
  • Conduct access reviews and enforce least-privilege principles
  • Manage Microsoft Intune across macOS, iOS, and Windows devices
  • Own device compliance policies, configuration profiles, and application deployment
  • Maintain Apple Business Manager integration and lifecycle management
  • Standardize device configurations across the combined environment
  • Own CrowdStrike Falcon, including prevention policies, host groups, workflows, and incident response
  • Operate and mature a next-generation SIEM, including: Data ingestion and connector configuration Detection rule development and tuning Threat hunting and reporting workflows
  • Oversee integration between endpoint telemetry and SIEM
  • Manage incident response processes and third-party SOC relationships
  • Help define the long-term security operations strategy
  • Administer Slack Enterprise Grid, including workspace structure, integrations, and retention policies
  • Manage Teams and/or Zoom for internal and external collaboration
  • Administer the Microsoft 365 environment (Exchange Online, SharePoint, OneDrive)
  • Maintain limited Google Workspace environments where required
  • Lead and develop a global IT team, establishing unified processes and operating rhythms
  • Build a collaborative culture across both legacy organizations
  • Identify skill gaps and hiring needs as the environment stabilizes
  • Mentor team members and develop future leaders
  • Foster a service-oriented mindset focused on responsiveness and follow-through
  • Own vendor relationships across Microsoft, CrowdStrike, Slack, SIEM providers, and others
  • Manage and optimize the IT budget, including license rationalization and cost control
  • Lead contract negotiations and renewals
  • Provide visibility into IT spend and cost drivers
