About The Position

We’re looking for a Director of IT, Security, & Compliance to own the strategic direction and operational execution of the organization’s technology infrastructure, security posture, and compliance roadmap. They are responsible for securing a growing company while ensuring seamless IT operations across two primary offices, ground campaign/field offices, and a distributed workforce. They will lead the initiative to achieve appropriate certification (e.g. SOC2, ISO 27001) and manage external vendor partnerships to scale IT capabilities effectively.

Requirements

  • Extensive experience (10+ years relevant experience/education) in IT Operations, Information Security, and Compliance and leadership roles (3+ years in leadership).
  • Proven experience leading an organization through or managing certification or similar compliance frameworks.
  • Deep knowledge and administrative experience within Google Workspace (G-Suite) or similar environments and cloud-based identity management.
  • Ability to develop a full security roadmap, translate it into detailed policies, and align requirements with internal stakeholders and external vendors.
  • Track record of working with and managing third-party IT vendors or Managed Service Providers (MSPs).
  • Experience supporting a hybrid infrastructure model, including physical office networks and a distributed remote workforce.
  • Superior verbal and written communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Excellent analytical, decision-making, and problem-solving skills.
  • Used to working in a fast-paced collaborative environment where you incorporate feedback from others to make decisions.

Responsibilities

  • Create and execute a unified IT and Security vision that supports the company's growth and distributed nature.
  • Champion the roadmap to achieve and maintain appropriate certification (e.g. SOC2, ISO 27001) and ensure ongoing compliance with relevant industry standards.
  • Manage the relationship and performance of external IT vendors/MSPs to extend capabilities and ensure Service Level Agreements (SLAs) are met.
  • Oversee the administration and security configuration of the Google Workspace environment and integrated SaaS stack.
  • Ensure robust infrastructure and support for two primary offices, ground campaign/field offices, and remote employees, ensuring equitable uptime and access.
  • Translate security risks into actionable strategies and policies, including Incident Response and Disaster Recovery planning.
  • Collaborate with other functions to align IT onboarding/offboarding processes and security training for all staff.
  • Lead and support the technology culture, advocating for security best practices without hindering productivity.
