About The Position

The Director of IT Infrastructure & Operations is a senior technology leader responsible for the strategy, implementation, security, and operational performance of Holland Hospital’s IT infrastructure, network, IT security, customer support services, and Healthcare Technology Management (HTM). This leader ensures that all technology platforms are reliable, secure, compliant, and effectively supported. Overseeing IT technical services, network operations, IT security, Help Desk and Desktop Services, and HTM, this Director role drives modernization, strengthens operational excellence, enhances user experience, and fosters a high performing, service focused technical workforce.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology or a related technical field.
  • 10+ years of progressively responsible IT experience spanning infrastructure, network, or operations leadership.
  • 5+ years of management experience leading technical teams (e.g., infrastructure, network, support, security, or HTM).
  • Experience managing IT security operations or partnering closely with cybersecurity teams.
  • Strong financial management skills, including budgeting and vendor/contract oversight.
  • Exceptional communication, leadership, relationship building, and stakeholder engagement skills.

Nice To Haves

  • Master’s degree in Information Technology, Business Administration (MBA), or related field.
  • Experience in healthcare IT.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute strategies to optimize operational and capital spend through lifecycle planning, vendor consolidation, cloud strategies, and standardized equipment management.
  • Develop and manage budgets across infrastructure, operations, security, customer support, and Healthcare Technology Management.
  • Collaborate with finance and procurement teams to negotiate contracts, manage vendor relationships, and optimize purchasing decisions.
  • Build and maintain a multi‑year roadmap for infrastructure modernization, cloud evolution, cybersecurity improvements, service delivery enhancements, and HTM growth.
  • Assess emerging technologies, industry trends, and best practices to drive innovation and maintain a competitive edge.
  • Collaborate with business and clinical leaders to ensure facilities, care delivery innovations, and equipment planning are supported by resilient and secure technology platforms.
  • Establish and enforce policies, standards, and technical architectures that promote reliability, security, and service consistency across all operational domains.
  • Ensure high availability and performance of enterprise infrastructure, networks, cybersecurity controls, and HTM‑managed biomedical equipment.
  • Lead cybersecurity programs including identity governance, vulnerability mitigation, threat response, and regulatory compliance.
  • Oversee disaster recovery and business continuity planning, ensuring readiness of IT systems and HTM‑maintained medical equipment.
  • Promote a customer‑centric culture across IT Operations, Customer Support Services, and HTM that emphasizes responsiveness, communication, and user satisfaction.
  • Ensure efficient incident, request, and problem management across all service delivery areas using effective ITSM processes.
  • Define and monitor SLAs, KPIs, and operational dashboards for infrastructure, security, support, and HTM operations.
  • Improve stakeholder communication, transparency, and proactive service engagement.
  • Recruit, mentor, and retain top talent while fostering a culture of collaboration, accountability, and continuous learning.
  • Provide leadership, mentorship, and professional development opportunities to empower team members and foster a culture of continuous learning and improvement.
  • Strengthen collaboration across departments to enhance problem‑solving and operational efficiency.
  • Direct cybersecurity strategy and operations including identity governance, risk management, threat detection, and incident response.
  • Ensure secure architecture across cloud, hybrid, and on‑prem environments.
  • Coordinate compliance and audit activities with internal teams and external partners.
  • Oversee Help Desk and Desktop Services, ensuring positive user experiences, efficient device lifecycle management, and strong knowledge‑base practices.
  • Enhance workflows, documentation, training, and communication across end‑user support channels.
  • Oversee lifecycle management of biomedical and patient‑care equipment, ensuring safety, reliability, and compliance with regulatory requirements and manufacturer standards.
  • Ensure preventive maintenance, testing, repairs, and documentation meet all applicable regulations and operational needs.
  • Partner with clinical and facilities leaders to evaluate new biomedical technologies and support equipment planning and acquisition.
  • Align HTM support with IT security requirements, network policies, and interoperability standards
