The role focuses on building and optimizing a reliable, scalable, and secure infrastructure that supports critical business needs and promotes operational efficiency. The Director develops long-term strategies, oversees infrastructure-related initiatives, and implements best practices to ensure superior service delivery and adherence to industry standards.

Requirements

  • Education: Bachelor's degree.
  • Experience: Minimum of 10 years of experience in IT infrastructure or related fields, with a strong background in leadership and prior management experience.
  • Extensive knowledge of IT infrastructure concepts, including network architecture, cloud services, cybersecurity, and data management.

Responsibilities

  • Define and execute an innovative IT infrastructure strategy that aligns with company goals and supports future business growth, incorporating cutting-edge technologies and industry best practices.
  • Develop comprehensive, forward-looking infrastructure plans and architectures, considering trends, best practices (e.g., ITIL), and the evolving needs of the organization.
  • Champion continuous improvement initiatives within the IT infrastructure team, promoting scalability, reliability, and security across systems.
  • Identify infrastructure-related business needs and develop effective, scalable solutions that address current and future demands.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure infrastructure projects are completed with minimal disruption to business operations, delivering optimized performance and value.
  • Establish and manage service level agreements (SLAs) and key performance indicators (KPIs) for infrastructure services, holding the team accountable for meeting or exceeding these metrics.
  • Identify areas for performance improvement and implement infrastructure changes that enhance efficiency, reduce costs, and strengthen system reliability.
  • Lead and manage the IT infrastructure team, fostering a high-performance, collaborative culture that emphasizes teamwork, professional growth, and technical excellence.
  • Oversee all personnel actions within the team, including hiring, mentoring, and terminations as needed, ensuring an effective and engaged workforce.
  • Oversee infrastructure budgeting and resource allocation, optimizing financial and personnel resources to support infrastructure priorities and strategic initiatives.
  • Ensure that infrastructure projects are delivered on time and within budget, with clear, measurable ROI for the organization.
  • Act as a liaison with other departments and senior management, ensuring infrastructure solutions meet evolving business requirements.
  • Build and maintain collaborative relationships with technology vendors, negotiating service contracts and ensuring high-quality service delivery.
  • Comply with all relevant safety, environmental, and quality standards, including adherence to MacLean-Fogg’s 5S standards (e.g., maintaining cleanliness and organization in work areas).
  • Maintain complete, accurate, and up-to-date documentation of infrastructure policies, procedures, and systems to facilitate efficient operations, compliance, and knowledge transfer within the team.
