About The Position

Reporting to the Assistant Vice President (AVP) of University Extension, the Director for International Programs is tasked with developing and executing strategies to elevate the international presence of our campus. This includes crafting both short-term and long-term recruitment plans aimed at expanding and sustaining inbound student pipelines. The Director oversees the day-to-day management of staff and operations in key departments such as International Admissions, International Programs, and Study Abroad, ensuring organizational efficiency and process management. Additionally, they lead strategic planning and implementation efforts, aligning administrative and student services with international objectives while driving forward recruitment initiatives. This position is pivotal to the university's commitment to increasing international student enrollment and fostering student success. The Director assumes a critical role in managing the international admissions unit and overseeing international recruitment and enrollment management. They collaborate closely with university leadership and the AVP to drive international recruitment initiatives forward. Moreover, the Director is tasked with managing the day-to-day operations of International Programs, ensuring alignment with the vision and direction set forth by the AVP. This includes overseeing staff, administrative processes, organizational management, and fostering collaboration among International Program units. This position implements strategies to enhance international programs and services, supporting the University's internationalization efforts. The Director of International Programs serves as the campus senior international officer providing vision and leadership in international engagement strategies. The SIO represents the University and advises university leadership of opportunities as well as risks associated with global education. Key areas of focus are international education, enrollment, partnerships, compliance with immigration regulations and student success.
