About The Position

Baylor University is seeking a collaborative graduate recruitment specialist with a history of success in leading graduate admissions. The Director of International Graduate Recruitment will report to the Vice Provost for Global Engagement and will work strategically with the Graduate School, Deans, Program Directors, undergraduate admissions, and other campus partners to create strategic policies that fulfill the university's growing graduate student enrollment goals. This position requires a Bachelor's Degree and five years of relevant work experience, while a Master's Degree and seven years of relevant work experience are preferred. Applicants must be currently authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis. In this role, the Director will direct university-wide international graduate recruitment efforts, manage day-to-day recruitment processes and practices, and enhance current and establish new graduate recruitment policies. The Director will lead recruitment visits and advise faculty and staff on best practices in international graduate student recruitment. Additionally, the position involves coordinating databases and customer relationship management (CRM) using tools like Slate and other data-driven tools. The Director will also join recruitment events such as overseas fairs, on-campus hosting programs, and meetings with prospective students. The Director will lead graduate-student strategic planning and implementation, co-create department and school/college level planning, process development, and graduate recruitment goal setting with appropriate academic affairs colleagues. Developing long-term plans to increase graduate student enrollment and managing growth in ways that leverage technology and align with university-wide strategic planning will be key responsibilities. The Director will provide data for campus partners in academic colleges/schools and program directors to inform and consistently improve graduate student recruitment. Participation on enrollment management campus-wide teams, task-forces, and other ad hoc communities relating to strategic planning is expected. The Director will establish a vision, through collaboration with Baylor colleagues, to improve and extend graduate recruitment, admissions, and belonging. Creating and maintaining strong collaborative relationships with academic deans, program directors, The Graduate School, Undergraduate Admissions, Marketing & Communications, and enrollment management colleagues around campus is essential. The Director will also liaise with established third-party recruitment partners and agents to direct international recruitment efforts, collaborating with the Graduate School, International Student & Scholar Services, and other BU partners to provide a transition from recruitment to retention, ensuring that the growing number of graduate students find a strong community and belonging at BU. Finally, teaming with Marketing and Communications, Graduate School, and Undergraduate Admissions to establish consistent and effective marketing tools for graduate recruitment that extend the image, identity, and impact of the University is a critical aspect of this role.
