About The Position

The Regional Pest Control Resource Director provides leadership, oversight, and technical expertise for pest control operations across the healthcare system. This role serves as the primary point of contact for all pest management services, ensuring contract compliance, operational excellence, and alignment with client and regulatory standards. The Director partners closely with Environmental Services, Facilities, and vendor teams to maintain a clean, safe, and pest-free environment that supports patient care and infection prevention.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree required in Environmental Science, Facilities Management, Public Health, or related field.
  • Minimum of 3–5 years of experience in pest management, environmental services, or facilities operations (healthcare experience strongly preferred).
  • Must successfully acquire the following certifications within 12 months of hire: Certified Pest Control Technician (CPCT) Certified Integrated Pest Management Technician (CIPMT)
  • Strong knowledge of Integrated Pest Management (IPM) programs, vendor management, and regulatory compliance.
  • Proven ability to analyze data, develop reports, and implement process improvements.
  • Experience presenting data, reports, and findings to senior leadership, clients, and cross-functional teams.
  • Excellent communication, collaboration, and organizational skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead through influence across multiple sites.
  • Valid driver’s license and ability to travel extensively within assigned region.

Responsibilities

  • Serves as the main point of contact for pest control services across all campuses and assigned facilities.
  • Oversees the pest control vendor contract, ensuring service quality, compliance, and cost control.
  • Coordinates and conducts regular facility walkthroughs with Facilities, EVS, and vendor representatives to proactively identify and resolve pest-related issues.
  • Tracks pest activity and service requests from initiation through resolution, ensuring timely follow-up and closure.
  • Prepares and distributes daily, weekly, monthly, and annual reports summarizing pest activity, trends, and vendor performance metrics.
  • Partners with vendor and internal stakeholders to enhance pest management strategies and drive program improvements that reduce costs and improve service outcomes.
  • Ensures pest control activities comply with hospital policies, infection prevention standards, and all applicable regulatory requirements.
  • Provides training, guidance, and technical support to site leaders and managers related to pest management practices and compliance expectations.
  • Collaborates with leadership to develop and implement system-wide pest prevention programs and performance improvement initiatives.
  • Travels up to 75% of the time to conduct site visits, audits, and leadership meetings across the region.
