This Position reports to: VP Business Operations In this role, you will have the opportunity to lead the execution of internal strategic projects at multi-national, regional, or global function level using ABB and/or 3rd party resources. Each day, you will lead project execution in accordance with procedures, regulations, standards, specifications and targets. You will also showcase your expertise by successfully applying project management processes as applicable. The work model for the role is: #LI-Hybrid in Auburn Hills, MI. This role is contributing to the Robotics Business in Auburn Hills, MI. Main stakeholders are all Robotics businesses Automotive, Industries, Customer Service, AMR, Service Robotics, and PDP - factory. This position will lead the Project Management Office (PMO), Facility and Material Logistic Management and Large CAPEX / cross business change projects. The Director of Integrated Operations & PMO will provide a solid framework for Project, Facility and Material handling and Change Management by creating an environment of measurable, disciplined professionalism where project and operational success is the norm and: Project teams are driven to deliver within deadlines and budgets while providing a customer solution that meets quality standards and customer expectations Increase accountability within the project teams as well as across the staff in support of project success. Project teams have the tools, processes and knowledge to excel in meeting customer expectations, and project teams are recognized for high levels of performance, while project teams are supported by leadership and supporting staff Large change / CAPEX projects are done on time on budget and meet customer expectations. Facility and Material handling are run at high levels of performance. You will be mainly accountable for: PM Tools: Lead the adoption and sponsorship of project management tools and software that improve communication, collaboration, transparency, and schedule tracking across project teams. Project Leadership: Drive continuous improvement in project execution strategies aligned with business goals. Ensure the local project portfolio is managed consistently using best practices, standards, and policies. Stakeholder Relations: Build strong relationships with key stakeholders and serve as the escalation point for project management issues. Guide PMs in following directives, improving processes, and leveraging lessons learned for continuous improvement. Project Management Process Ownership: Develop, maintain, and train teams on all local project management processes, procedures, and work instructions within the quality management system, ensuring compliance and consistency. Facility & Logistics Operations: Provide leadership for facility operations, equipment maintenance, and material handling—including receiving, warehousing, shipping, and reverse logistics. Oversee facility security and partner with business units to enhance material flow and operational efficiency. Local Project Manager for Business-Critical Initiatives: Lead major projects such as inventory optimization, large trade shows, facility-wide CAPEX initiatives, and business integration efforts. Ensure alignment with leadership objectives and maintain monthly reporting. HSE (Health, Safety & Environment): Promote and uphold a strong HSE culture across all project operations.
