About The Position

The Director of Instruction Helping Teacher at Cypress Falls High School is responsible for assisting the Director of Instruction in managing and coordinating compliance reporting and activities for special student groups. This role focuses on improving student achievement through data analysis, staff development, and instructional support for teachers. The position requires a strong background in education and a commitment to fostering a positive learning environment.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree from a recognized, accredited college or university
• Valid Texas teacher's certificate
• Minimum of five (5) years of successful experience as a classroom teacher
• Demonstrated ability to provide staff development
• Ability to use technology for developing products
• Ability to use data to organize instructional programs designed for improving student achievement.

Responsibilities

• Assist the director of instruction in the management and coordination of special student group compliance reporting/activities (GT testing, ESL testing, LPAC, TELPAS, dyslexia, etc.)
• Review placement records to ensure students are placed according to district guidelines.
• Monitor ESL students' progress to ensure one year's growth each year through various assessments and reports.
• Coach and support new and/or struggling teachers.
• Use student achievement data to recommend improvements in instructional design and campus initiatives.
• Collect and analyze data pertaining to student achievement.
• Serve as a problem-solver for student learning needs and related instructional issues.
• Offer staff development related to the campus improvement plan.
• Model exemplary lessons in the classroom.
• Perform other duties as assigned by the principal and director of instruction.

Benefits

• Probationary/Term Contract: 197 days
• Salary as per Pay Grade T60 (Teacher Classification) approved by the Board of Trustees
