About The Position

The Director of Inside Sales is a dynamic sales leader responsible for driving performance, growth, and excellence across our high-performing sales organization. This role oversees all aspects of inside sales operations, including team leadership, training, customer retention, and process optimization. The Director partners closely with Director of Sales and Chief Revenue Officer to ensure all markets exceed performance goals, achieve sustainable growth, and continually enhance the customer experience.

Requirements

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Business, Communications, or related field (or equivalent experience).
  • Experience: 5+ years of sales leadership experience, preferably in inside sales or home improvement industries.
  • Demonstrated success in managing large or multi-tiered inside sales teams
  • Strong understanding of pricing strategies, sales enablement, and customer retention practices.
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills, with the ability to inspire and lead through influence.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and CRM tools; strong PowerPoint and reporting skills.
  • High attention to detail and ability to multitask in a fast-paced, performance-driven environment.
  • Strong business acumen with the ability to analyze data, forecast performance, and make strategic decisions.
  • Ability to travel as required to support regional markets and corporate initiatives.
  • Proven success in managing sales teams, driving performance, and leading through data and coaching.
  • Highly organized, with the ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment

Responsibilities

  • Lead, mentor, and develop the Inside Sales organization, including Inside Sales Managers, Inside Sales Manager Assistants, and Design Consultant Support teams.
  • Ensure Inside Sales Manager Assistants are effectively supporting field Design Consultants by providing real-time pricing assistance, sales support, and customer retention solutions.
  • Foster collaboration between inside sales, operations, order entry, purchasing, and the call center to maintain seamless workflow and high service standards.
  • Oversee the recruitment, training, and professional growth of inside sales team members.
  • Establish a culture of accountability, urgency, and enthusiasm that drives performance and customer satisfaction.
  • Manage daily and weekly sales performance metrics for inside sales and related teams, focusing on conversion rates, revenue, and customer experience.
  • Partner with Sales Managers to identify coaching opportunities for Design Consultants based on call feedback and performance trends.
  • Ensure Command Center sales goals and revenue objectives are consistently met or exceeded.
  • Drive performance initiatives to reduce cancellations, improve job retention, and increase close rates.
  • Assist with pricing strategy and escalation processes to ensure competitiveness and profitability.
  • Provide insights and reporting to executive leadership regarding performance trends, training effectiveness, and opportunities for growth.
  • Lead process improvement initiatives to enhance communication, efficiency, and customer satisfaction between inside and field sales teams.
