Directs, monitors and evaluates the department activities. Works collaboratively with the hospital management team to achieve the targeted goals and positive clinical outcomes. Directs nursing and patient care that is high quality and cost-effective and in accordance with government regulations, licensing and accreditation requirements. Mentor unit managers to help implement evidence-based practices to drive quality patient care, grow and develop leadership skills, and interact with unit staff to improve employee engagement. Participates in the development of strategies and contributes to the achievement of the department and hospitals vision and mission.
