About The Position

The Director of Inpatient Nursing Services has 24/7 responsibility and accountability for clinical nursing practice and patient care delivery for all adult inpatient services. This role is the key leadership role responsible for inpatient care at SVMC. The focus is on establishing high reliability care in an environment that attracts and retains talented clinical team members. The ideal candidate has exceptional interpersonal skills, an eye for regulatory compliance and constant attention to creating a magnetic clinical environment for evidence based practice and top box patient experience. Strong collaborative relationships with all clinical departments and with physician and other care team members is essential for successful performance.

Requirements

• Masters in Nursing preferred (BSN required)
• Minimum of 3-5 years of progressive clinical leadership experience
• Specialty board certification
• Current licensure as an RN in the State of Vermont
• ACLS/BLS is required within 90 days of hire
