About The Position

The Director of Information Technology (IT) at Ballinger Memorial Hospital will oversee the hospital's technology infrastructure, systems, and software. This role is crucial for ensuring that all technology systems operate efficiently and securely while leading a team of technology professionals. The Director will also be responsible for training staff in the use of these systems and staying updated on industry best practices and regulatory requirements relevant to healthcare IT.

Requirements

• At least 5 years of experience in IT leadership, with a demonstrated track record of successful technology implementation and management.
• Experience with the CPSI electronic medical record system.
• Familiarity with HL7 standards and Promoting Interoperability Reporting.
• Knowledge of State and Government regulations and reporting.
• A solid understanding of healthcare industry regulations and requirements such as HIPAA and HITECH.
• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.

Nice To Haves

• Experience with PACS standards, RIS, LIS, strong networking skills, and a strong knowledge of server virtualization.

Responsibilities

• Oversee the hospital's technology infrastructure, systems, and software.

• Ensure compliance with relevant healthcare industry regulations such as HIPAA and HITECH.
