About The Position

The Director of Information Technology (IT) at Ballinger Memorial Hospital District is responsible for overseeing the hospital's technology infrastructure, systems, and software. Requirements

• At least 5 years of experience in IT leadership, with a demonstrated track record of successful technology implementation and management.
• Experience with the CPSI electronic medical record system.
• Familiarity with HL7 standards and Promoting Interoperability Reporting.
• Knowledge of State and Government regulations and reporting.
• A solid understanding of healthcare industry regulations and requirements such as HIPAA and HITECH.

• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
• Strong knowledge of server virtualization.

Responsibilities

• Oversee the hospital's technology infrastructure, systems, and software.
• Lead and manage a team of technology professionals to ensure efficient and secure operation of all technology systems.
• Provide expertise in the CPSI electronic medical record system, HL7 standards, promoting interoperability reporting, PACS standards, RIS, LIS, networking, and server virtualization.
• Ensure staff are trained in the effective utilization of technology systems.
• Stay informed about industry best practices, emerging technologies, and regulatory requirements relevant to the healthcare IT landscape.
• Ensure compliance with relevant healthcare industry regulations such as HIPAA and HITECH.
