This position is responsible for planning, directing, and managing the Information Systems and Infrastructure team, with a focus on supervising enterprise-level information systems, backend infrastructure, network operations, and supporting the cybersecurity posture of the district. The role ensures the strategic development, implementation, and protection of scalable, cost-effective technology solutions that support the instructional and operational goals of the district.   • Oversee the enterprise information systems, and infrastructure teams, effective operations and support tailored to the needs of the district.
  • Lead with a continuous improvement mindset; ensure the development, testing, documentation, implementation, and maintenance of high-quality information systems solutions across platforms, adhering to established methodologies and project plans.
  • Establish policies, standards, practices, and security measures to ensure consistent operations and safeguard information resources.
  • Select, develop, and motivate qualified staff to effectively carry out departmental functions and maintain continuity of specialized skills.
  • Manage, direct, and assign priorities and personnel to major projects to ensure alignment with district goals and objectives.
  • Support integrated ITIL processes including Incident, Change, and Problem Management. Develop plans to resolve issues and prevent recurrence, maintaining high service levels in accordance with SLAs.
  • Provide hands-on technical leadership for complex application and database development, systems integration, and operational troubleshooting.
  • Assist with staff development and training on enterprise systems and tools; deliver presentations as needed.
  • Establish and maintain a high level of customer trust and confidence in the team's understanding of educational and business needs.
  • Maintain a professional, customer-service-oriented approach in all district matters.
  • Conduct research and stay current on emerging technologies and best practices; maintain relevant certifications.
  • Perform special projects, after-hours support, upgrades, and other duties as assigned.
  • Lead with servant leadership and with a future mindset.
  • Provide strategic technical counsel to both senior leadership and operational technology teams, ensuring informed decision-making across all levels of the organization.
  • Lead application development efforts using modern programming languages such as C#, Python, and JavaScript.
  • Align security practices with FERPA, state and federal requirements, and industry best practices, while conducting ongoing risk assessments and audits.
  • Supervise cybersecurity operations and incident response by overseeing threat monitoring, detection, and response, and coordinating with internal IT staff, district leadership, and external partners to minimize risk and ensure rapid recovery.
  • Work with infrastructure team, cybersecurity analyst and other IT key staff to continually monitor and harden the environment through proactive vulnerability management, patching, system configuration, and security best practices.
  • Establish and maintain policies, procedures, and controls to safeguard sensitive student, staff, and financial data across a complex K-12 environment.
  • Apply systems development lifecycle (SDLC) principles to guide infrastructure and application projects.
  • Support data-driven decision-making by analyzing data from surveys, help desk systems, and operational metrics to identify trends and inform strategic planning.
  • Provide technical support and guidance to teams working within SQL database environments, ensuring performance, reliability, and effective use of data resources.
  • Analyze business requirements and workflows to tailor technology solutions to stakeholder needs.
  • Communicate effectively across all levels of the organization and maintain strong working relationships with internal and external partners.
  • Stay informed on emerging technologies and industry trends, proactively evaluating and recommending upgrades or adoption of new solutions to ensure the organization remains ahead of the curve and aligned with best practices.
  • Bachelor's degree in computer science or related field.
  • Master's Degree preferred.
  • 5-10 years of experience supervising enterprise IT environments.
  • Demonstrated experience administering a wide range of enterprise applications and solutions, including oversight of upgrades, integrations, and lifecycle management.
  • Solid understanding of network architecture design and implementation, as well as hands-on experience supervising server infrastructure operations and ensuring system reliability and scalability.
  • Technology Certifications highly desired - Examples: Cisco CCNA/CCNP, Aruba ACSA/ACMA/ACNSP, CompTIA Security+, CySA+, CASP+, Server+, Microsoft Azure & Windows Server Certifications, ITIL Foundation.
  • Pay Grade TG07, $512.03 - $604.55 daily rate, commensurate with experience according to District salary schedule.
