About The Position

What you will be doing: Direct the facility Infection Prevention (IP) and Control programs. Assess regulatory compliance and ongoing IP readiness. Oversee clinical IP programs while promoting patient safety. Assess reporting compliance with the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS), state and local reporting agencies, and the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention's (CDC) National Healthcare Safety Network (NHSN) standard surveillance definitions. Oversee IP surveillance and the collection, analysis, and reporting of IP data.

Requirements

Master's in Nursing, Education, Epidemiology, Public Health, Clinical Microbiology or other health-related field.
Three (3) to five (5) years clinical experience in a health-related field required.
Two (2) years experience in Infection Prevention or epidemiology leadership role required.
Current national certification in Infection Control (CIC).
