About The Position

The Director of Infection Control is responsible for designing, implementing, and directing system-wide programs for infection control within Holy Cross Health. This role supports the mission of CHE Trinity Health and Holy Cross Health, ensuring high-quality healthcare services while promoting a healthy work-life balance for employees. The position requires collaboration with various stakeholders, including medical staff and external organizations, to maintain effective infection control practices.

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in nursing, epidemiology, public health, healthcare administration, lab technology, or a related field.
• Valid Certification in Infection Control.
• Current certification by the National Certification Board of Infection Control Epidemiology; Master's preferred.
• Five years of clinical experience, with three years in hospital epidemiology/infection control.
• Thorough knowledge of healthcare systems and clinical practice settings.
• Strong organizational skills and leadership ability.

Nice To Haves

• Experience in developing and implementing performance/quality improvement initiatives.
• Proficiency in statistical or epidemiology software systems.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement infection control programs across the healthcare system.
• Support the mission of CHE Trinity Health and Holy Cross Health.
• Consult with the Physician Advisor to Infection Control and the VP of Medical Affairs.
• Develop and implement performance and quality improvement initiatives in clinical settings.
