About The Position

Director, Human Resources — Autonomous Vehicles (TAS) About our Opportunity Transdev Alternative Services (TAS) is Transdev’s dedicated autonomous vehicle operations division and the leading provider of AV testing, deployment, and managed operations services in the United States. As autonomous mobility rapidly expands nationwide, TAS is scaling operations across multiple markets with significant growth ahead. The Director, Human Resources — TAS plays a pivotal role in enabling growth, building the people strategy, leadership capability, and workforce infrastructure required to support a national AV platform. This is a highly visible role for an HR leader who thrives in fast-moving environments and wants to help shape the future of transportation. Location: Phoenix (National Scope) Travel: Up to 60–70% Transdev is proud to offer: Competitive compensation package of minimum $120,000 – maximum $150,000 15% bonus eligibility Benefits include: Vacation: minimum of two (2) weeks Sick days: 5 days Holidays: 12 days; 8 standard and 4 floating Other standard benefits: 401(k) retirement plan, medical, dental and vision, life insurance, short-term disability, and voluntary long-term disability. Requirements

  • 7-10 years of progressive HR leadership experience, including management of teams in a distributed work-site environment.
  • Proven success supporting large, multi-site, and frontline workforce operations.
  • Strong knowledge of and judgment in employee relations and compliance.
  • Comfort operating in ambiguity, growth, and constant evolution.
  • Willingness to travel up to 60–70%.
  • Be eligible to work in the United States without requiring sponsorship now or in the future (if based in the U.S.).
  • Successfully pass a pre-employment drug screen.

  • Experience in services, mobility, transit, AV/EV, or other safety-sensitive environments.

Responsibilities

  • Partner directly with executive and operations leaders to support rapid market expansion.
  • Build scalable workforce plans aligned to aggressive deployment timelines.
  • Drive high-volume recruiting, onboarding, and workforce readiness across multiple markets.
  • Strengthen employee relations practices in a safety-critical, highly regulated environment.
  • Ensure compliance while enabling speed, consistency, and operational flexibility.
  • Support leadership development, bench strength, and succession planning.
  • Champion a performance-driven, safety-first culture during periods of rapid change.
