About The Position

The Director of Human Resources to serve as the senior-most HR leader and a core member of the executive leadership team. This role is responsible for owning, architecting, and scaling all aspects of Human Capital, HR Operations, Training, Compliance, HR Systems, Culture, and Organizational Design to support aggressive company growth. The Director of Human Resources sits at the executive table and is expected to influence, challenge, and partner with executive leadership to ensure people, systems, and structure remain ahead of the organization’s growth.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 10 years of progressive Human Resources experience, with at least 5 years in a leadership role.
  • Director-level or higher HR leadership experience
  • Strong expertise across all core HR disciplines
  • Experience working in corporate or enterprise environments
  • Proven ability to partner with executive leadership
  • Strong judgment, ethics, and professionalism
  • Bachelor’s degree from a four-year college or university; or three to five years’ related experience and training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Nice To Haves

  • SHRM/HR Certification Preferred.
  • Professional certification (i.e. SHRM-SCP, SPHR) is highly desirable
  • Experience working in a fast-paced, high-growth environment or startup is a plus

Responsibilities

  • Lead enterprise-level human capital strategy and long-term workforce planning
  • Architect organizational structures, role clarity, and leadership models that scale
  • Design and own the company’s performance management system within HRIS (Paycom)
  • Oversee talent acquisition strategy, hiring discipline, and workforce economics
  • Oversee the full spectrum of HR operations, including talent acquisition, employee relations, performance management, and learning and development
  • Collaborate with executive team and department heads to identify and address workforce needs, implement effective talent management strategies, and support organizational change initiatives.
  • Own training strategy across the organization, including apprenticeship and leadership development
  • Ensure compliance with employment laws, labor regulations, and company policies
  • Oversee employee relations, investigations, disciplinary actions, and terminations
  • Manage workers’ compensation, leaves of absence, ADA accommodations, and return-to-work programs
  • Own HR systems (HRIS), data integrity, analytics, and reporting
  • Lead culture, employee engagement, and change management initiatives
  • Manage, develop, and scale the HR team
  • HR systems and processes scale smoothly with company growth
  • Leaders are supported and held accountable for managing people effectively
  • Reliable and predictable attendance is required for the function of this job
