About The Position

The Director of HR, Human Resource Business Partner serves as a strategic partner to executive leadership, aligning business objectives with people strategies. This role is responsible for executing day-to-day HR programs and providing expert HR guidance to senior leaders, fostering a high-performing and inclusive workforce. The position involves designing and executing various organizational initiatives, including talent management, performance management, and employee relations, while managing a small team focused on HR operations.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources or related field.
  • Minimum of 10 years of progressive HR experience, including at least 5 years in a strategic HRBP or HR leadership role.
  • Working knowledge of federal, state, and local employment laws such as FLSA, COBRA, HIPAA, FMLA, ERISA, ADA.
  • Proven experience partnering with executive leaders in complex organizations.
  • Experience with UKG Pro preferred.
  • Strong business acumen with the ability to connect people strategies to business outcomes.
  • Expertise in talent acquisition and talent management.
  • Excellent interpersonal and influencing skills.
  • Ability to navigate ambiguity and lead through change with confidence and empathy.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with experience leveraging data to inform decisions.

  • PHR or SHRM certification preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Acts as a trusted advisor to senior leadership, contributing to the development and execution of business strategies with a focus on talent and culture.
  • Analyzes organizational challenges and provides insights to improve structure, processes, and leadership effectiveness.
  • Collaborates with leaders to align HR strategies with business goals, driving key initiatives such as workforce planning, succession planning, and change management.
  • Leads initiatives to attract, retain, and develop top talent, ensuring alignment with organizational objectives and future needs.
  • Partners with leaders on performance management processes, providing guidance on employee development, coaching, and feedback.
  • Plans, organizes, and facilitates association-wide goal setting processes, performance review and calibration processes, and succession planning practices.
  • Partners with learning and development to facilitate development programs and identify opportunities to build critical skills across teams.
  • Collaborates with department leadership to ensure compensation programs drive desired behaviors and results while maintaining internal equity and equality.
  • Assists in the evaluation of job changes, determines internal pay bands and MRPs through benchmarking, and prepares compensation statements.
  • Plans, organizes, and facilitates annual enrollment and health and welfare benefit programs, including change management of plan design alterations.
  • Fosters a culture of diversity, equity, inclusion, and belonging, ensuring practices are integrated into business operations.
  • Supports organizational transformation efforts, including team realignment, restructuring, and scalability initiatives.
  • Assesses and enhances employee engagement through surveys, action planning, and ongoing feedback mechanisms.
  • Provides counsel to leaders on employee relations issues, ensuring alignment with company values, policies, and legal requirements.
  • Partners with legal and compliance teams to address complex situations and mitigate organizational risks.
  • Conducts investigations, provides leaders with findings and recommended resolutions, and maintains complete case records.
  • Mentors and develops HR team members, fostering a high-performing and collaborative environment.
  • Collaborates with HR team members to ensure seamless delivery of HR services and leads HR projects and initiatives.
