About The Position

Supervise the daily operations of the housekeeping staff, promoting a safe environment and quality service to achieve maximum guest satisfaction, protection of assets and minimal expenses. Position supervises daily operations in maintaining the maintenance/sanitation of the guest rooms, public areas and pool/health club. May supervise the laundry operations. Recommends and implements procedural changes. Monitors inventories and expenses.

Requirements

2+ full years of employment in a related position with this company or other organization(s).
Advanced knowledge of computer software (including Microsoft Office, outlook) and web analytics tools is preferred.
Two-Year College Degree or equivalent preferred.
Requires thorough knowledge of the Housekeeping field.
Requires knowledge of Hotel/OLS policies and procedures and the ability to determine course of action based on these guidelines.
Requires supervision/management skills.
Ability to compile facts and figures.
Ability to communicate information and hotel services to management. Second language may be required.
Demonstrate a working knowledge of all property safety and security procedures as required.
Maintaining a secure and safe environment for employees as well as guests.
Report any unusual occurrences and/or request to Supervisor.
Read and abide by all the regulations and rules of conduct stated in the Associate Handbook.
Must be service oriented with excellent customer service and sales skills.
Must be able to effectively communicate to guests, management, and coworkers.
Must be able to read, write and understand the English language.
Must be energetic and outgoing.
Must possess excellent interpersonal and organizational skills.
Must be able to follow directions with attention to detail, speed, and accuracy.
Must be a team player with the ability to work under minimal supervision.
Must be able to understand and work with basic financial information and solve basic arithmetic problems.
Must be able to type 45 wpm and have the ability to input data and access information on the computer.
Must have proficient working knowledge of Microsoft Office, Opera; preferred.
Must be able to exercise confidentiality and discretion.
Abide by payroll policies, procedures and rules of conduct as stated in the Springboard Hospitality Associate Handbook.
Demonstrate a working knowledge of all company safety and security procedures.
Travel required: As needed for hotel operations.
Hours Required: Must primarily work during Springboard Hospitality business hours while understanding that the hotel business functions 24/7 and some weekend or holiday, and/or extended work hours may be occasionally be required.

Responsibilities

Supervise the housekeeping employees to attract, retain and motivate them while providing a safe work environment; interview, schedule, train, develop, empower, coach and counsel, recommend and conduct performance and salary reviews and recommend discipline and termination, as appropriate.
Supervise and inspect the daily cleaning of the guest rooms, public areas and back of the house; ensure compliance with accident/loss prevention programs, LSOPs and SOPs and health/sanitation standards and regulations to achieve a high level of cleanliness and guest satisfaction. Monitor and report on expenses (payroll and supplies) to aid in controlling costs while ensuring adequate staff and supplies are on hand to provide top quality services
Respond to guest requests, concerns and problems to ensure guest satisfaction. Refer and follow up on maintenance issues/problems with Engineering to protect hotel assets, ensure a safe, accident-free environment for guests and employees and maintain/ improve guest satisfaction.
Log items into the Lost and Found and answer inquiries to maintain controls and ensure guest satisfaction
Implement emergency training and procedures to ensure appropriate protection of the hotel's guests, staff and company assets
