Requirements
- High School Diploma or the equivalent.
- Previous Housekeeping experience required.
Nice To Haves
- Previous Supervisory experience preferred.
- Experience in Long-Term Care preferred.
Responsibilities
- Supervise Housekeeping staff.
- Prepare daily assignment schedules.
- Make daily rounds of Nursing Home to insure instructions and safety are followed.
- Instruct personnel in the use of equipment and cleaning methods.
- Train new employees, assign duties and closely supervise until fully trained.
- Recommend personnel actions such as transferring, discipline or termination.
- Maintain an inventory of cleaning materials, supplies, and equipment.
- Inspect equipment and furnishings such as beds, cabinets, chairs, screens, and fans and prepare requisition for maintenance.
- Inspect garbage disposal to confirm it meets safety, health, and sanitation regulations.
- Manage sufficient collection and distribution of linen and supplies.
- Keep record of areas that have been cleaned or painted.
- Oversee and supervise the Laundry Department in the absence of Laundry Supervisor.
