About The Position

YOTEL New York is seeking a dedicated and experienced Director of Housekeeping to lead our housekeeping team in maintaining the highest standards of cleanliness and guest satisfaction within our establishment. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in hospitality and housekeeping management, with a keen eye for detail and a commitment to excellence. This role is essential in ensuring that all areas of the property are clean, well-maintained, and welcoming for our guests.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee the daily operations of the housekeeping department, ensuring all tasks are completed efficiently and effectively.
  • Develop and implement housekeeping policies and procedures to enhance service quality and operational efficiency.
  • Train, supervise, and evaluate housekeeping staff, fostering a positive work environment that encourages teamwork and professional growth.
  • Conduct regular inspections of guest rooms, public areas, and back-of-house spaces to ensure compliance with cleanliness standards.
  • Manage inventory of cleaning supplies and equipment, ensuring adequate stock levels while minimizing waste.
  • Collaborate with other departments to coordinate cleaning schedules during peak times or special events.
  • Address guest inquiries or concerns regarding cleanliness promptly and professionally.
  • Stay updated on industry trends related to custodial practices, floor care techniques, and industrial cleaning methods.
  • Manage the housekeeping payroll and expenses according to the budget.
  • Prepare weekly payroll and employees schedule.
