Cardinal McCloskey Community Services is seeking a passionate, strategic, and forward‑thinking Director of Homefinding and Intake to lead all homefinding, recruitment, and intake operations for our Family Foster Care (FFC) and Treatment Family Foster Care (TFFC) programs across NYC and Westchester. This is a high-impact leadership role for someone who thrives on building strong teams, cultivating community partnerships, and shaping the future of foster care services. As a key member of the Children's Division, you will help drive our mission of protecting, empowering, and transforming the lives of children and families.

Requirements

  • Master's Degree in Human Services with significant experience in the field of social welfare and child welfare, supervisory experience, and awareness of new trends in the field of children's and family's services
  • Licensure preferred
  • Bilingual (Read, Write, and Speak) in the Spanish language strongly preferred
  • Experience in recruitment/homefinding of foster parents with demonstrated track record of promoting innovative strategies

Responsibilities

  • Provide daily management and supervision to the Intake and Homefinding Units.
  • Ensure effective oversight of intake processes to evaluate and accept referrals based on program capacity and children's needs.
  • Maintain accurate oversight and tracking of foster home availability and utilization across programs.
  • Lead and support staff through supervision, coaching, and ongoing training.
  • Recruitment of prospective foster homes for Family Foster Care and Therapeutic Family Foster Care programs in NYC and Westchester County.
  • Oversee all aspects of the homestudy process conducted by Homefinding staff.
  • Ensure timely and thorough annual re-certifications for all foster homes in both prograrams .
