About The Position

As the Director of Health Informatics, you’ll shape the future of how Andwell uses data, technology, and insight to improve lives. You’ll oversee the design, implementation, and optimization of health information systems and analytics platforms across all service lines. Acting as the bridge between clinical practice, technology, and strategy, you’ll guide our teams toward seamless integration, compliance, and innovation. In this role, you will:

Requirements

  • A bachelor’s degree in nursing, computer science, engineering, business administration, or related discipline (master’s preferred).
  • 5+ years of progressive leadership experience in health informatics, with proven success bridging clinical and technical domains.
  • Deep understanding of EHR systems, data management, and interoperability in home and community-based healthcare environments.
  • Certification in Clinical Informatics (or willingness to obtain within 2 years of hire). PMP certification preferred.
  • Exceptional communication and relationship-building skills—able to translate complex information for diverse audiences.
  • Strong organizational and project management abilities, with a track record of achieving results in dynamic settings.
  • A collaborative, innovative mindset and the ability to guide teams through change with clarity and purpose.
  • A valid Maine driver’s license, reliable vehicle, and ability to travel to regional offices and partner sites.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and mentor a high-performing informatics and data analytics team, promoting professional growth and operational excellence.
  • Direct initiatives related to EHR design, implementation, optimization, and standardization to support evidence-based care delivery.
  • Partner with clinical and operational leaders to ensure informatics systems enhance workflows, quality, safety, and financial performance.
  • Manage complex informatics projects from planning to go-live—overseeing budgets, staffing, vendor relationships, and outcomes.
  • Champion data integrity, documentation consistency, and compliance with health information standards and regulations.
  • Drive the evolution of our data analytics infrastructure—developing reporting tools, dashboards, and decision-support systems.
  • Serve as a strategic advisor to leadership on data-driven insights, technology investments, and informatics strategy.
  • Cultivate strong relationships across departments and with community partners to ensure systems meet the needs of providers, patients, and stakeholders.
