About The Position

The Director of Health and Wellness (Director of Nursing) is responsible for overseeing the implementation and evaluation of care plans to ensure comprehensive and person-centered care within an assisted living community. This role involves monitoring residents' health conditions, coordinating with healthcare providers, and ensuring compliance with regulatory standards while fostering a positive work environment through training and mentorship of the healthcare team.

Requirements

• Registered Nurse (RN) licensure required in state of practice in Illinois and Arkansas.
• LPN Licensure preferred in Illinois and Arkansas.
• LPN or LVN licensure required in state of practice in Texas and Kansas.
• Registered Nurse (RN) licensure preferred in Texas and Kansas.
• Minimum of 3 years experience as an RN or LPN in assisted living, skilled nursing, or a related field required.
• Minimum of 3 years leadership experience in a healthcare setting preferred.

Nice To Haves

• Experience in skilled nursing or related field is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Oversee the implementation and evaluation of care plans to ensure comprehensive and person-centered care.
• Monitor residents' health conditions and medication administration.
• Coordinate with physicians and other healthcare providers as needed.
• Develop and implement policies, procedures, and standards to ensure regulatory compliance.
• Provide ongoing training, coaching, and mentorship to the healthcare team.
• Foster effective communication and collaboration with residents, families, and the interdisciplinary team.
• Ensure compliance with all federal, state, and local regulations governing healthcare services.
• Stay updated with industry trends and regulatory changes to improve care quality.
• Monitor resident satisfaction and make necessary improvements to the resident experience program.
