The Director of Grid Integration Strategy at Oklo will play a pivotal role in shaping the company's approach to grid integration, reporting directly to the COO and/or the Chief Legal and Strategy Officer. This position is designed for an experienced professional who is not only knowledgeable about federal, state, and local regulations but also adept at aligning these regulations with customer needs and the requirements of Independent System Operators (ISOs) or utilities. The successful candidate will be expected to develop comprehensive strategies that address grid integration challenges and opportunities across various regions in the U.S. This role requires a high level of organization and the ability to collaborate effectively across multiple departments, including Business Development, Nuclear Regulatory Affairs, External Affairs, Legal, and Finance. In this role, the Director will be responsible for implementing strategies that enhance customer engagement, particularly in relation to power purchase agreements. The position may also involve direct engagement with regulatory bodies such as the Federal Energy Regulatory Commission (FERC) and Public Utility Commissions, ensuring that all strategies comply with existing regulations and policies. The Director will need to stay informed about new developments in the U.S. power sector, reviewing and drafting contract terms as necessary, and undertaking special projects as assigned.
