The Director of Grants at North Central Texas College (NCTC) plays a pivotal role in directing the work of development teams to successfully compete for grant funds that support the college's plans for new and improved programs and services. This position is essential for guiding and supporting grant managers and coordinators, as well as monitoring the progress of grant-funded projects to ensure their successful implementation in accordance with grant contract terms and agency regulations. The Director will collaborate with cross-functional teams, including Deans, to understand the needs of various divisions and programs, seeking and pre-screening grant opportunities that align with the college's goals. In this role, the Director will co-lead the grant proposal writing and editing process, ensuring that proposals meet the compliance guidelines set forth by funders. The position also involves facilitating the development of strategic partnerships within the community, educational institutions, workforce sectors, and businesses to enhance the college's ability to achieve its program goals through externally funded resources. The Director will lead weekly staff activities within the Grants Department and the External Affairs Division, focusing on grant development, implementation, compliance, and strategic planning. The Director will be responsible for guiding grant-funded projects, which includes leading grant kick-off orientations, co-developing Standard Operating Procedures, conducting staff training, and serving as the official NCTC representative in communications with funding agency project officers. Ensuring compliance with grant regulations and fiscal outcomes is a critical aspect of this role, as is monitoring and analyzing progress toward grant project goals and deliverables. The Director will also co-lead communication efforts related to fiscal or program reporting, audits, and grant closeout procedures. Additionally, the Director will contribute to various NCTC committees and community partnerships to advance opportunities for the college and its stakeholders.
